“I went to Sweet Jane Salon because I was looking for a unique place as I feel like so many salons in San Diego are the same. I found Sweet Jane and it felt like a perfect fit! Nick and Norman are so sweet and really helped me feel comfortable, which I sometimes have trouble with in other places. Their salon is clean and they offer so many options for feeling clean like hand sanitizers everywhere and making sure I knew where the bathroom was in case I wanted to wash my hands. Nick did a fantastic job on my shag and I felt so cute walkin out! He listened to what I wanted and definitely delivered ! Thank you so much for my cute new shag :-)” -S

First, you feel like you're in this garden of eden - their plants and decor are so relaxing and stunning. But best of all, they do celebrity level hair, but with kind, easy going personalities. ”Nicks skill and precision and specialty is razor cuts, and when I say razor cuts - it was throughout the entire session. His vision comes to life and he shapes the hair so perfectly. The specific type of cut I received was the shag, which not a lot of people specialize in and very few deliver the way that Nick does. He truly understood that so many people in the past who have attempted to cut my hair cut the layers almost too perfect, which in turn makes my Asian stick-straight hair go flat with no dimension and no style which eventually equals boring, sad hair grow out
I suggest that when you book an appointment, to go early so that you can see the previous client transformation because I can almost guarantee that you'll be cheering on the previous client to step out and live her best life while excited to receive the best hair transformation of your life! I am originally from San Diego who moved to Colorado Springs and I can honestly say that I will wait each time to travel back to get my haircut by Nick from now on. Even by looking at both Nick and Norman's previous cuts on their social media platforms you can tell that their work is seamless and that they both are talented. Book that appointment and take their first available! I promise you won't regret it!” -J

“I have been on the hunt for a salon and hair dresser that is awesome and I FINALLY found it! Previously, I had horrible experiences at other salons, so coming in to my appointment I was very nervous and apprehensive but Norman went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and truly and genuinely listened to all of my hair preferences and concerns. He is so talented and really takes his time to perfect his art. He also showed me how to take care of my hair and how to style it as well. I have never been so happy with a haircut before. I felt so confident and like the best version of myself and honestly I cannot remember a time I felt that way after a haircut. This is my go to place from now on. “Loved my experience with Norman. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and approachable. He really took his time to understand my hair texture/tendency to frizz, and showed me how to style my new 'do two different ways: curly via diffuser, and then smoothed out with soft waves. I told him my concerns about using too much heat with curling irons/straightening irons, and he was able to do his magic without using either. I asked for a modern shag haircut and he delivered EXACTLY what I requested. He made me feel pretty, confident, pampered. He showed me the products he used to style my hair but didn't pressure me to purchase them. I likely will though, when I come back for my follow up. He didn't pressure me about scheduling my next appointment either, but I'll definitely come back soon for a bang trim and will make this my regular spot for my haircuts. “I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I got a haircut by Nicholas and I am so impressed. He really takes extra care to examine every bit of your hair and artfully cuts to create a haircut that will look good natural or styled. I was honestly worried when I Saab how much hair was being taken off since I am trying to grow out my hair, but after the cut, not only did it look like I had more hair than I had before, but Nicholas was able to bring out the natural curls that I haven't seen in years! I was so surprised and delighted and I just can't wait to be able to play with my hair and see what I can do to it now. These guys rock!!” -M

The place was very pretty and the atmosphere here was just warm, inviting and comfortable. I've never gotten bangs before so this trip was something I was nervous for. “Not only did Norman give me a great cut, he and I had a wonderful "getting to know you" discussion about ourselves.  I have never felt so confident about a hair stylist before.  Being greeted at the door by name was a great start - the warm smile was a bonus.  This is a stress-free salon.  Nicholas and Norman created an atmosphere that is serene and inviting.  Their hair cutting talents are apparent.  No up-selling, just advice and genuine concern for my feelings about the cut.
