“Best salon ever! So grateful for Nicholas!” -AP

Nicholas Roach

Owner/Stylist @hair.by.nicholas

Nicholas Roach is the owner and creative visionary of Sweet Jane Salon. Nick grew up in Encinitas, a sleepy beach town back then and loved its laid back lifestyle. He moved to NYC in the late 90’s to learn all he could about his growing love for hair and to discover who he was. He brings New York’s urban cool and mixes it with easy, effortless SoCal vibes. Schooled in both classic Vidal Sassoon technique and deconstructionist modern razor cutting, Nicholas creates magic for his wide variety of clients.

Nicholas brings 20+ years of experience at the Bumble and Bumble Salon NYC to Sweet Jane. HIs effortless, easy styles were a staple of New York Fashion Week, with Nicholas working backstage on top designer shows such as Thom Browne, Tory Burch, Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Hood by Air, and Marc Jacobs to name a few.

After 20 years with Bumble and bumble, Nicholas has realized his dream of opening his own salon in his hometown. “I wanted to return home and open my first salon and offer what cities like New York, San Francisco and LA do, which is an elevated client experience done in a beautiful space. A place where craft stylists dedicated to growth can pass on inspiration to their clients in an authentic way.”

I got the bug watching Nick do hair at Bumble and bumble while waiting for him to get off work.” “The personableness with clients and the ebb and flow of the service was recognizable and creatively desirable.” In 2011 Norm went on to find his first stylist position at Hairdressers on Fire on Adams ave. Now he joins Nick with the opening of Sweet Jane Salon.
